Jr. Pole Vault Development

Your Club has expanded its reach and  the club membership program for Jr. Boys & Girls and  is now at 130 young and aspiring athletes  from four states. Thank you all for your generous support and the beat goes on for an exciting Indoor Track & Field Season.    SHINE ON !!!!!!

   Our POD #1 Instruction Vault Training (Nov. 8- Dec. 18)  has been exceptional and filled. with huge improvements from the beginners to the advanced levels.   Athletes are showing  a positive spirit and willingness to expand their comfort zones. with new drills..... longer poles.....   and longer approach runs. EVERYONE is IMPROVING FAST NOW.

  HOLIDAY MEETS @ CIRCUS...... We aim to jump high this Holiday season with all groups at our  FLYING CIRCUS VAULT-MANIA BARN MEETS and hope you can all join this Holiday Spirit of Pole Vault Fellowship.    There is nothing greater than  vault meets are your own training facility...  "VAULTING  with HISTORY"............

    Your Flying Circus pole vault club started in 1979  in the Warwick Valley Middle School Gym with 7 athletes taking it up strong  for two nights per week after the basketball teams were finished using that gym. The top  boys were Dave Holt(15' 7.5")...Rudy Tomaselli(14' 10").  and Brian Kittner at 13' 1". The Girls pole vault had not started up yet in  America. Girls  started  up in 1997 at our club and also in New York State Athletics.

  Just like it is now... some 45 years later.... the "Team Concept" of helping and supporting  each other prevails  within all teammates. Everyone counts at Flying Circus... the Beginner.. the Intermediate  and the Advanced  athletes are all equal... all striving for personal bests.... not measuring results within the club... but rather aiming for personal reflection.

  As we start up our new adventure together..let us  remember  the history and the athletes spirit  of the past and re-dedicate ourselves to becoming the very best version of ourselves .
